I rang 111 with an irregular heartbeat and was told to go to A&E within an hour. I arrived at 07:50 and was quickly attended to, I had 3 blood tests, two ECGs, an X-Ray and a doctor to check me out. I have a Carbon fibre heart valve which means that infections can be fatal. I was diagnosed with an infection and given treatment and medication to bring home. There was a bit of waiting involved as there were many other patients. I am now picking up and hope to make a full recovery.
I cannot thank enough all who helped me and treated me in A&E.
Thanks to all.
This should have treated by my family doctor 3 weeks prior to this where a nurse informed me on the phone that I had a cold. There is no wonder A&E are so busy if other people have similar GP experience.
"Excellent service and diagnosid"
