"Vascular Department"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham / Vascular surgery

I attended Ward 13 at the beginning of May 17 for a below knee amputation and my stay lasted foe a period of 9 days beore returning home for recuperation and district nurse care. Throughout my stay I found that all the staff on Ward 13 were very responsible and caring carrying out their duties under extreme pressure due to staff shortages. Night shift was always a time when nursing staff were pushed to the limit but patients were always treated with respect. I found the ward set up to be good and the cleanliness to be acceptable to all patients and I was satisfied with the treatment I received.
