"What has happened to the 12 week maximum wait?"

About: Victoria Infirmary / Ear, Nose & Throat

(as a service user),

In early January, I attended Glasgow New Victoria Hearing Aid Clinic because my new hearing aid was uncomfortable.

I was informed that my appointment was for 10 minutes and that I would be sent a letter giving me a time and date for a longer consultation.

My consultation was for early May. The problem with the hearing aid was solved.

What has happened to the 12 week maximum wait?

Dear Honda

Thank you for your post on Care Opinion.

Unfortunately, due to demands on the service, our waiting times are longer than usual. Please be assured that staff continue to work to arrange additional activity to accommodate patients who have been delayed.

I have shared your post with the General Manager for Audiology.

I am glad to read that the issue with your hearing aid has been resolved.

Best wishes

Nicole
