About: Kirkby East Children's Centre

(as a service user),

I attended the little talkers course at Ashfield Central children's Centre - to help me understand my son's speech development. First session I didn't think was great but I thought I would give it a go. Throughout the weeks I picked up different skills and strategies to help with my sons speech over thee weeks it was really interesting and I'm glad I gave it a chance. I think the course needed to be longer as we both enjoyed coming.

Attending the course has given me more confidence in dealing with language.

The Little Talkers groups are delivered at Ashfield Central by our Accreditied Language Leads to share with parents through singing and stories effective strategies to promote language development for thier child.

I will pass on to the staff that you would have liked the course to run longer, so this is something that they can consider for next time when planning sessions.

Thank you for completing the course even though you did not think the first session was great, and because of this I was pleased to read that your confidence has grown when supporting your child's language.

I hope that we will see you again at the centre soon.
