"Hip replacement"

About: Peninsula NHS Treatment Centre

On Friday 17th Feb 2017.

I went to the hospital at 7am, I had no problem with parking.

After a short wait a nurse came to the reception area and called my name.

I was directed to a cubicle, I was told to undress and to put on the hospital gowns.

At every stage of my stay my name and date of birth was double checked.

I waited in the cubicle for about an hour and half during that time the surgeon visited

and asked if there was any problems I had a gout in my ankle the same leg

that I was to have a hip replacement . We discussed it and they left the decision with me

as to weather the op: should go ahead.

I think I had the procedure at around 1130am.

I have nothing but admiration for the staff at the hospital.

It includes the reception, nurses, aneathertist, the surgeon, doctors, the cleaning staff, and the people who served the meals.

The hospital deserves all the credit and praise they receive.

The one criticism is parking, I found it very difficult to find a parking place mid morning

when I needed to visit out patients.

Dear Kenneth,

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback.

I am sorry that you have found it difficult to park on you return visits. We are constantly striving to work with our partners to provide essential parking for both our patients and staff. Unfortunately in the area around the centre parking is somewhat limited. We will continue to try and seek solutions to improve this.

All the very best for your continued recovery.

The Peninsula team.
