I recently had my second mastectomy at 'Jimmys'. I cannot praise the team highly enough. The receptionist, the nursing staff and the consultant in the Breast Carr Unit were all excellent, they all go the extra mile and treat you with dignity and respect.
The staff on Ward J23 were again caring, despite having 14 ladies going to surgery and struggling to find beds. The anethesist and nurses were so reassuring when I was put to sleep. In recovery I was well cared for and a nurse was constantly by my side. On the ward I was again given dignity and the care I received was 1st Class. I was given a dolly bag for my drain, a cushion for under my arm and a free mastectomy bra. Everyone I came in contact with was brilliant, but I have to give a special thanks to Grace and sister Claire
My specialist breast care nurse Belinda was a constant support and I couldn't have coped with both my operations without her
Finally special thanks to my consultant Mr Navin. He performed both my mastectomies and treated me with the upmost respect throughout.
