About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill) / Maternity St Thomas' Hospital / Maternity care

(as a service user),

I had a scare that my water had broken today around 11am. I contacted st thomas, when I was then told that your neonatal clinic was full and advised to go to kings college. This is unacceptable as my unborn child could have been put at risk. I went to kings college who where then furious with the way I was treated by st thomas maternity ward. You send me to a hospital without even confirming with their maternity ward wether they have spaces for premature babies ( I am 32 weeks pregnant). You then told me that the unit was infact closed and not full, which made me waste time waiting for cabs to be able to go and from kings to you.  I joined st thomas hospital thinking I would get the best care instead I get treated like an animal and my unborn baby put at risk. Disgusting.
