"Delay!"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Dermatology

I was seen by the Dermatology department on 4th March and the consultant confirmed the melanoma needed to be removed. I was very small at that point, its now grown significantly to the point I called the hospital to ascertain when it is likely to be removed.

The person I spoke to last week 12th May said they would email the relevant person and they would get back to me. To date I've heard nothing with is worrying as is the lump growing on my leg.

I understand there are delays but communication would be beneficial and perhaps put my mind at rest.

Thank you for your comments. We are very sorry to learn of the lack of communication with you from our dermatology department during this worrying time.

Please contact the PALS (patient advice and liaison service) Team on 01634 825004 and they will be happy to assist you with making contact with the relevant staff within the dermatology department and arranging a further appointment.

Kindest regards,

The Patient Experience Team

Medway NHS Foundation Trust.
