"Long wait for treatment"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Ear, nose and throat

(as the patient),

After waiting for 12 weeks for my guaranteed treatment with no appointment forthcoming, I spoke to a member of the waiting times staff today (13 weeks down the line). I was told an appointment was in the post for late July - this will be 23 weeks down the line! Also, I will be in Canada on holiday on that date. I was told my next appointment would be after my holiday, and why did I not inform you of my holidays? The reason I did not was because I was "guaranteed to be treated/ operated on within 12 weeks!

I am absolutely miserable with my condition but have tolerated it in the knowledge that it would be remedied soon

I was also told that I cannot fly within 6 weeks of the surgery

In conclusion, I need my surgery before mid-June.

I understand, in these circumstances my surgery should /could be performed elsewhere e. g. outwith Forth Valley

I look forward to a prompt resolution.
