"The care is second to none"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Clinical Nurse Specialist Teams

(as a parent/guardian),

I feel that there are shortages within the paediatric diabetes team at the moment. I scanned in my daughters blood diary as I wanted to check the changes I was making were correct. I didn't expect a response until next week, it wasn't an urgent issue at all.

Within three hours I had a phone call off the lead Consultant advising on how to carry on and telling us what a great job we're doing. The care is second to none and it really is massively appreciated. At a time when the NHS is so over stretched it's amazing how quick my enquiry was dealt with. Thank you!

Dear Enmed, I am so delighted that you received such good care in times where we are short of paediatric diabetes nurses. The team very much work together to ensure that patient care is not compromised. I hope that we will have some good news on the nursing front soon as we due to be interviewing for more nurses soon. Thank you for your positive feedback it means a lot to staff when they are under such pressure. I will share this with the consultant and I am sure that she will be glad to hear your thanks.
