(as a friend),

I was present when my friend gave birth. Unfortunately, there were some complications towards the end. However, there was one senior midwife who outshone the rest, I cant quite remember her name but I think it may have been Tracy. She was so level headed and calm during the emergency and incredibly supportive at such a scary time. I feel that there is never enough gratitude, appreciation and thanks shown from service users. But I just wanted to say how amazing she was.

Dear friendlygal,

Thank you for letting us know about you and your friends' experience when she gave birth recently. It can be a frightening time when things don't go to plan when a baby is being born and so reassurance that you are in safe, calm hands helps enormously.

If we can identify Tracy from what you say we will certainly pass your appreciation on to her.
