My dad was admitted to ward 10 Monklands Hospital to have fluid removed because he was needing a liver transplant. Monklands Hospital gave my dad a chance and admitted his to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary to see if there was anything they could do for him. Unfortunately Edinburgh told the family that dad was not fit enough to go through the transplant and he would be transferred back to the Monklands.
When my dad was in Ward 10 the nurses were absolute amazing and let the family come and go as they please which meant we could spend longer with my dad in his last few days. My dad could not thank the nurses enough for the care and devotion he was giving in the Ward.
I honestly from the bottom of my heart can't thank each and every one of the nurses in Ward 10 for the help, advise and care that they gave not just to my dad but to the whole family.
I have spoken with Carol the manager and advised I would like to raise funds for the ward by doing a parachute jump and also holding a raffle.
I would like to put something back into the ward just to say thank you so very much from all the family for looking after my dad
