"Extremely upset"

About: West Suffolk Hospital / General surgery

Went to west Suffolk hospital with my son for surgery on his hand which we had waited for ten months for got there at 10:00 as instructed, the magic cream was put on his hand and arm at about 12:20, then waited, waited some more then around 15:00 a member of staff from appoints approched us to tell us the appointment had been cancelled and that they had tried to call me, checking my phone and messages for the calls found none, they sent a letter of cancellation not received, they also failed to update records of a second contact number, extremely upset we went home now waiting for another appointment.

So why was we not told when we arrived of the cancellation, why did we have wait for hours till we were told, why was the hospital computer not updated to show staff on the ward
