Just want to say a huge thank you to my midwife Lynsey in the DMU for being a fantastic support to me throughout my whole pregnancy! I was lucky enough to have the same midwife all the way through my pregnancy and she was on shift when I delivered my little boy. She was fantastic! All of the staff on the labour suite were great also, at a time that was quite worrying, the calm and relaxed nature of the staff really helped to keep me calm.
I also wanted to say thank you to the girls on ward 38 (particularly Michelle) who were so supportive when I was learning how to breastfeed in those first days. No matter how many times I pressed the buzzer they would come with a smile on their face to help my baby latch on and give advice. They made me feel totally at ease and gave me lots of encouragement throughout, it is because of them that our breastfeeding journey got off to a great start and my little boy is thriving! They were really amazing!
I can't praise the DMU, the labour suite and the recovery ward enough! Thank you!
