"Absolute Joke"

About: Conquest Hospital / Gynaecology

So, after the last review (see Apprehensive on http://www.nhs.uk/Services/Trusts/ReviewsAndRatings/DefaultView.aspx?id=RXC&feedbackID=1637341) I called the PALS line was was told definitely by the 18 week target (June 19). Having called today I was told ' we will see but we are months behind and have people who's 18 weeks were up in march still waiting (insert little giggle).' This is beyond a joke now. Will try PALS again but if targets are not real in terms of treatment I will assume hygiene and care targets are fictional too. After waiting for 20 years for this surgery I can't help but feel that for various reasons it is classed as unimportant and second class. If the conquest would like to prove me wrong that would be great but I can't see it happening.

Thank you for raising your concerns. Following our conversation last week I hope you feel able to understand the reasons for the current delays and the work we are doing to improve this situation. I apologise that we are not able to meet the 18 week target for surgery within our service at the moment but our teams are working very hard on this with positive effect.

Please do not hesitate to contact if you need further information.
