"They saved my life"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / Accident and emergency

I came into A&E in the early hours of a Monday morning with what I know now was a burst duodenal ulcer. I was seen by the most amazing dr I've ever met whom I've yet to track down to thank. The doctor was straight talking but reassuring at the same time, the doctor acted so quickly and diagnosed me before my first bloods had come back or my scans or x rays had been done.

I really just want to find the doctor to thank them.

I had my emergency surgery and despite having a tummy that looks like a Cornish pasty now, I'm so grateful to be alive and more importantly to have been given a second chance to live healthily. I will never ever take my health for granted again and the staff at addenbrookes have been nothing short of super heros!
