"Fabulous Hospital & Staff"

I had a hysterectomy here at Derby Royal at the end of March. Right from my first appointment with my gynaecologist through to my operation and after care, I couldn't be happier!

My Gynocologist listened to what I wanted, was very informative and respectful.

I was extremely nervous about my operation on the day, the staff were very caring and put me at ease. The anethatist was wonderful as were the nurses in the operating theatre, I quickly went to sleep and woke up very comfortable and calm. I had a room of my own on the ward, which was wonderful with en-suite. The food was delicious and the staff who prepared and served it was lovely too.

The nurses on the Ward 209a did an amazing job and really looked after me, especially when I fainted the next morning after getting dressed and washed. I would like to say a huge thanks to all at Derby Royal but especially my gynocologist, the theatre staff, pre-op nurses, all nurses and staff on ward 209A. I don't believe I have ever been so safe in my life, you are amazing!
