"All the staff are clearly highly trained"

I underwent a planned operation at Southbank in December. I can honestly say the staff in theatres are the best I have ever encountered.

I have to tell you about the level of care I recieved and my experience. I opened my eyes in the Recovery room and was immediately made to feel so safe. The nurse looking after me was called Lesley, I thought she was an angel, so professional, caring, kind and considerate. When I was awake properly I realised Lesley was the sister in Recovery room as the other staff were seeking her advise, I could tell she was in charge.

During my short time in recovery I was given painkillers to make me comfortable and my experience of Southbank Theatres was memorable for all the right reasons. All the staff are clearly highly trained and carefully chosen by Spire and I know I recieved excellent care before, during and particulariy in the Recovery room. I went back to the ward and spoke with the other patients, they also praised the staff in theatres, Lesley had taken care of them aswell.
