"The management of my visit could have been better"

About: Torbay Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I attended the womans health unit for a gynaecology appointment post surgery.

The unit when I arrived seemed to be fairly quiet and there were a number of nurses wandering about with drinks not doing much. I was kept waiting an hour from when I arrived and then when I was called through I felt that the nurse looking after me was disinterested in what I had to say, was talking over the top of me and also felt rushed.

I had to wait for a couple of hours within the unit and this was within the main waiting area (no separate area for patients coming in) which was uncomfortable and not ideal if I'm honest. The whole management of my appointment could have been dealt with so differently to produce a positive outcome.
