Six moths ago I had a triple by pass. fantastic job all OK and I was discharged from Lincoln a few weeks ago. I was told that if I felt I had a problem to call and I could come in. I felt I had a problem and called the number on my discharge letter. I got an answer service and left a message. I received a reply from on my answer machine 3 days later. I rang back less than half an hour later and there was no reply.
As it transpired I was not well and had finished up being taken to Lincoln A & E a few days later with high blood pressure and heart rate. Everything was excellent from treatment point of view and I came home the next morning.
My points are these:
1. If the number on the letter is not to be used it should say so.
2. If it takes 4 days to reply to messages then maybe staff who reply are overworked and should consider diverting her calls to another person.
