"Emergency Care"

About: Scunthorpe General Hospital

After collapsing with abdominal pain in the A&E department, I was helped immediately into a side room and given pain relief. I was admitted to a ward within 4 hours. My appendix had ruptured at 6 weeks pregnant. It wasn't an easy road to recovery, however, I cannot thank the emergency staff and in particular my surgeon enough for saving my life and importantly the baby's life. The emergency care that I received was amazing, especially when the staff were under immense pressure at a very busy time of the year.
