"The care my mother received"

About: Cameron Hospital Victoria Hospital / Geriatric Assessment

(as a relative),

My mum passed away earlier today at Cameron hospital and I want to praise the care she received there in the last few months.

She spent time on Letham and Balcurvie wards and also Ward 13 at VHK and the care was exceptional. In particular the staff we came into contact in mums last 24 hours. Rhonda and Donna on Balcurvie Ward were particularly helpful, but all of the staff, nursing, care, domestic and catering, made the last few days easier to bear.

The NHS is so often slated, but my whole family have nothing but praise for the care and compassion we were shown.

Dear Collegegirl 51

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about the care your mum received in Cameron and Victoria Hospital. Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss. It is never easy losing a loved one; however this can be made bearable when the care provided at the end of life leaves you feeling content that those who provided the care did so with genuine compassion and humanity. From what you describe it sounds like the staff got it just right, which is a real credit to them.

I will be pleased to share your feedback with the teams who will very much appreciate you taking the time to give your feedback.

Kind Regards

Louise
