"Couldn't praise the NHS any higher"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Accident & Emergency (Emergency Care)

(as a parent/guardian),

My 15 year old son broke his nose playing rugby.

I just wanted to say thank you to the nurse who checked us in and did the initial assessment for her kindness and reassurance. We were very quickly seen by a doctor who did an extremely thorough assessment and answered all my questions.

He put myself and my son at ease during what was a stressful time. He treated my son maturely and I was so impressed by his manner towards us both. He confirmed it was broken and gave us a plan about what was going to happen next and even spoke to ENT directly to avoid us having to make a GP appointment for the same thing.

We were seen and back out within an hour. Where else could you get seen and treated within an hour. Couldn't praise the NHS any higher. Thank you x

Hello, thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your son's visit to Accident and Emergency in Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital. We recognise how important it is that children of all ages are treated with respect and kindness and I was delighted to hear your son was treated so kindly by the staff he met. It is such a stressful experience visiting hospital for any reason, and I'm glad the care you both received made the experience as positive as possible. I hope your son has recovered fully from his injury and hope it hasn't put him off playing rugby! I will ensure the medical and nursing staff in Accident and Emergency receive your feedback, it's great for staff to hear when things have gone well and to know they are appreciated. Thank you again.
