"Compliments to Cardiology Team"

Following referral to DCH by my GP and meeting with Specialist Nurse after lots of tests

I was placed on waiting list for Pacemaker for Arrhythmia, Hypertension and Pauses

This was mid-October 2016.

The procedure to be done 23rd Jan '17. Attended, all ready to go down to the Lab when at the very last minute an emergency case over-road my slot and overnight bed.

The hospital was full and no more beds were available.

The Staff Team were very friendly, informative and professional throughout.

My procedure planned for following week 31st Jan went smoothly.

I cannot praise highly enough the care and attention I received both on the Cardiology Pre-treatment ward

and the Cardio Acute ward.

It was excellent all round, I felt very safe and secure in knowing I was in good hands, and the benefits have been instant and it is making an enormous difference to my quality of life.

Now my heartbeat is at average level - twice what it was, and I am on the road back to a good level of fitness.
