"Appointments and Admin staff"

Recently on a number of occasions I have had to endure the rudeness and lack of professionalism of admin staff. today I rang the appointments number around 3.30pm twice I was kept waiting then someone picked up and cut me off, the second time at 3.45pm I was put through to a answering service to tell me to I rang to late!

I couple of weeks ago at the outpatients reception I was waiting to confirm attendance when I was ignored for over 10 mins while one receptionist was sitting I front of their screen while the other was helping someone on a call. Once they finished they assisted me. There was a queue of 6 people by then!

I tried to follow on an appointment with the endoscopy department to be rudely told I had to wait 6 weeks, when I asked for clarity as to 6 weeks before I got a letter or that the appointment would be in 6 weeks they repeated "6 weeks" and hung up!

I have never complained before but my sympathy for the NHS is truly tested! Manners don't need funding!
