I started to have pain in my shoulder and neck last Summer, I went to my GP had an ECG done and it came back with nothing showing. I went on holiday to Cyprus and the pain got worse and had come into my chest, the pain went away when I rested, I had this pain at least Once a day but normally twice or three times. I thought it was just muscle pain as I had it checked out before going on holiday. On return it got worse I went to my GP who sent me to my local hospital I had another ECG, this time a locum Dr said they had seen irregularities and admitted me, they asked for several tests to be done, however the hospital discharged me telling me I could come back the next day to get the tests done, next day I got a phone call to say they couldn't fit me in and I would hear from them. I eventually had a stress test and was referred to the GJH in Clydebank I waited for my appointment, once there it became apparent that things were not as straightforward as thought and it was thought that a bypass operation would be needed, I was actually seriously ill, but thanks to the quick action and wonderful dedication and professionalism of the doctors, nursing staff, surgeons and all the staff I was able to go for a stent which I know took all the skills of a dedicated team to place due to the circumstances.
"Wonderful dedication and professionalism"
