"So kind to me"

About: Wansbeck Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was booked in for day surgery at Hexham, however this was cancelled a week before so I asked if I could be seen elsewhere/different consultant. I was told I could be seen at Wansbeck to which I was apprehensive about but accepted. I need not have been so concerned, from the moment I walked into the reception to book in I noted how clean and welcoming it was. I was then taken to the ward (15) and all of the staff from every single

nurse, the anestheist, Dr Shivanath and all of the team made me feel welcome and treated me with dignity, respect and kindness. I would definitely recommend this unit, and I just can not praise all of the staff enough. They were all so kind to me, and even when though the nurses were finished at 8pm they stuck around for myself and another patient until well after 10pm to ensure we were both ok. Thank you so much again.
