My nana 12 weeks ago got taken in to cramlington hospital and the care she received was awful her morphine was stopped as a NURSE thought it was to high so stopped it instead of checking, they let her wet herself because they didn't think a bed ridding woman was at the stage of needing catheterised and if she stayed there any longer I believe my nana would be worse.
When my nana got transferred to Reedsdale court the care she received was outstanding everyone from the domestic staff up to the consultants are fantastic and me and my family will never be able to tell them how grateful we are for the care and help she has received in the just under 12 weeks she has been in.
She has gone from pretty much lying in a bed just breathing and sleeping to being up talking and eating solid food, she is still bed ridding but that's just something we have to deal with, she is now coming home and we thought she wasn't going to make it let alone be coming home and truly believe it's down to the amazing people that have been looking after her and helping her.
It's not just my nana they have looked after they have looked after all my family and made us feel very welcome over this time and it has truly help our family at this hard time having these amazing people around us supporting the whole family not just the person in the bed.
Truly outstanding care.
