"It's frustrating not knowing what is happening next"

About: Learning Disability and Autistic Spectrum Disorder Secure (Nottingham) / Wollaton

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I like being here, my ward is settled and I do a lot. I like playing games, pool, play station and watching Torchwood. I like the food, pies and sometimes the vegetarian food.

I do a lot of education and also Tai Chi which is done by a teacher who comes in from the outside. I DJ in here and we have a radio station which is more about using the technology. I get to do interviews in the music booth with the music technician. I think I am the best radio presenter here. I might be doing an NVQ in the music and I play keyboards and guitar.

I need to get unescorted leave. I have been at St Andrew's 6 years and think moving to London is the next step and moving to another hospital. It's frustrating not knowing what is happening.

It sounds like you are an extremely busy gentleman and doing some really interesting activities and therapy.

I am going to speak to the clinical team on Wollaton to make them aware that you feel that you do not know what is happening next, it is vitally important that as a patient you are fully involved within your care, treatment and discharge. I will ensure you know what your future entails and that you are involved in this going forward.

Good luck and keep up with the great work you are doing.
