This is the first time that I have ever been in hospital and this is the best I have been since I have come to Birmingham. It really suits me here as I get on well with everyone. I am waiting for my outside leave to come through and the difference has been the staff here who are understanding, compassionate, they spend more time with patients and are more friendly. In a matter of weeks coming here from Northampton, I progressed. The change in me has been astounding and I now feel prepared. I am waiting to go to a lower level of security. I would like to recommend St Andrew's Birmingham but not St Andrew's Northampton.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you are and the positive bits you have experienced. I am really pleased to hear of your experience in Birmingham - that is great news. What isn't so great is that you feel Northampton wasn't the same, so not as positive for you.

So that we can understand the difference and support changes, it would be very helpful if you could discuss the differences with your Nurse Manager or the Modern Matron so that this could be fed back.

I look forward to hearing how we can change to make it positive wherever you are in St Andrews
