"care, compassion and tea and toast!"

About: Wincanton Community Hospital

I was admitted are a time when the news was full of headlines of bed shortages and that Yeovil were in crisis. Yet the Matron and Sister run the hospital with such friendly efficiency that as a patient you never feel that you are a burden or that they don't have time or space for you. All the staff, at all times treated me with dignity and smiles sorting a issues smoothly with excellent medical skills and knowledge, tenacity and dedication to get the job done and knowing some times that toast and jam at three o'clock in the morning is more therapeutic than anything else the doctor ordered! Thank you for such wonderful care and attention.

Thank you very much for writing such lovely things about one of our community hospitals. I have forwarded these to matron to ensure that they get shared with the staff on the ward. If there is anything that you would like to discuss regarding this, or anything to do with services within the Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (SOMPAR), then please feel free to contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team on 01278 432022 or email pals@sompar.nhs.uk

I wish you all the best for the future. With kind regards, the PALS team.
