"Caring & professional staff"

I would just like to write to commend all the Day Surgery staff I met during my recent appointment at Heartlands hospital. The nurse who clerked me in even asked how I was feeling emotionally! I met with the consultant and his SHO to ensure that I was aware of the procedure and did not have to wait too long before my operation. Praise must also be given the theatre staff who chatted to me and made me feel very relaxed. My only criticism was with the member of staff who walked ahead of me to the theatre. He said I had to bring my bag and coat with me but made no attempt to help me carry them (it's likely I would have refused his help but it would have been friendly to do so). However, the rest of the staffs caring and professionalism made up for his attitude. Please ensure that my comments reach the Day Surgery staff.

I am so pleased that all of the staff you encountered, apart from the member of staff who took you to theatre, were kind, caring and professional in their manner and the care delivered.
