My sister and I were very grateful to all the staff in the High Dependency Unit who looked after my mother in her final days.
They staff had immense compassion and were prepared to do anything to make my mother's last days and hours as comfortable as possible. We were able to camp out in her room, were given gowns to wear and offered food and drinks.
The three of us were able to spend our last evening altogether, reminiscing about her life and caring for her superficial needs, before she quietly passed away peacefully the following morning.
"Very grateful to all the staff"
