Recently I had reason to access some of the services provided by St Peter's Hospital. My first visit was to the A and E Department.
Following a CT scan I was admitted to the Surgical Assessment Unit where I was given my diagnosis and with my involvement a treatment plan was drawn up. I required a small procedure by general anaesthetic and this was followed a few weeks later by a planned admission for further surgery. The speed, efficiency and professionalism of my treatment was most impressive. I have nothing but admiration for all the staff I encountered on both occasions. I was overawed by the attention I received from the dedicated staff and more than impressed by the excellent care I was given. The professionalism and good humour displayed by all the staff, even at the end of very long shifts was amazing. All aspects of my treatment were discussed with me and all my questions were answered in a patient and non patronising manner. I can only thank every member of staff I had the good fortune to meet - those from the Urology Department, Operating Theatre, Surgical Assessment Unit, Kingfisher Ward, admin, housekeeping and porters etc, etc. Many thanks once again.
"A great example of the NHS"
