"Everyone I met was absolutely brilliant"

(as the patient),

I gave birth to my baby three days ago at Croydon Hospital in the early hours of the morning and was cared for by one of the most fantastic midwives I've ever met. I already had two children, both at Mayday, and to be honest the experience was far from perfect but this time around I cannot fault it at all, everyone I met was absolutely brilliant. My midwife Jason was really lovely, he put me at ease and was so kind and caring to me and my husband and put all our fears to rest, even when my daughter's heartbeat started dropping he was so calm and told me what to do which ended up in a safe and normal birth. I cannot speak more highly of him or your department at all.

The Maternity Department is committed to make sure that every woman receives the best possible care and the midwives are very proud of changes that have been made to improve the patient experience.
