Service I received during labour was fantastic. Afterwards however... My child was born in the morning, I had to ask for a shower the day after, 37 and a bit hours living in my own dirt
The food choices for were diabolical for someone with allergies
Not one person checked on me overnight during my first night as a first time mum. I felt like the staff were so short staffed they were almost rude through needing to be elsewhere.
I only realized a day after I entered the ward I had no pillow. Six ( roughly) different midwifes tried to help me with breastfeeding.. all giving me conflicting advice, that may be why I found it so hard to learn.
I believe my rough start with my daughter could have been avoided had a received better attention in the ward
I would not recommend this maternity postnatal. This is no reflection on the adjoining delivery unit and birthing suit
