"Foot surgery"

About: Holme Valley Memorial Hospital / Day surgery

(as the patient),

After having an X-ray at my local hospital I was referred to Holme Valley Memorial Hopsital in Holmfirth for consultation with foot specialist who advised me that pains in my feet were a Bunion problem and it was quite a simple procedure to correct this. I had also a small bone protruding underneath at the base of my big toe which is the Sesamoid bone. The surgeon suggested that this also needed shaving to reduce its size to be more comfortable when walking.

Surgery was not uncomfortable and they gave me plenty of good advice to aid quick recovery and follow up appointments were equally helpful and stressless.

Big Thank you to everyone at HVMH.

Dear Mrs Christmas!

Thank you for posting this feedback, I will ensure it is shared with the team who will be delighted you had such a positive experience here at Holme Valley. I am sure your comments will also help reassure others who could be feeling apprehensive about foot surgery.

Best wishes
