"I made a lovely friend with Tracey"

About: Community Care services / Dementia Support Service

(as the patient),

When Tracey knocked on my door I would not remember her but when she smiled I knew who she was.

Had a lovely time with Tracey, she made me feel like a person and not someone who keeps forgetting things. She made feel it was my home. She always asked me if I wanted to go out or play games.

I made a lovely friend with Tracey. It would be better if she could come every week as the service is finished now. I will not remember her if she comes back.

Hi Nifty452

Thanks so much for getting in touch about our Dementia Support Service and particularly our staff member Tracey, it is great to hear about our services and people making a difference.

Unfortunately our Dementia Support Service is a short term, outcome based service. As you probably know the service is crucial to a lot of families therefore they aim to support as many as they can by working on an issue by issue basis.

However, if there are any new outcomes they can support you with - then please do not hesitate to re refer to the service.

Kind regards

Annie
