"The occupational therapy sessions have helped me to develop new skills"

About: Locked & Specialist Rehab / Ashby Ward

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

I came in 2009 to St Andrew's and received good quality of care. I spent 3 years on Robinson and progressed to low secure. The main thing that has helped me is psychology sessions to identify problems and resolve issues.

The occupational therapy sessions have helped me to develop new skills and gain confidence. Also been involved with the Patient Experience team and this has helped me gain confidence. I have done interviews, inductions, CPA training, medical students.

I am looking forward to becoming a patient experience facilitator to improve services and ensure patients opinions are heard.
