Over the past 6 months I have visited both the Colorectal dept and Gynecology Dept for consultations and been referred for 2 lots of scans.
The cause of my pain was spotted by the colorectal dept and I was eventually referred to gynecology.
It was quickly made clear to me by the consultant that there was little possibility that the cyst on my ovary was cancerous and surgery was arranged.
I have to say that i was both pleased and surprised that the surgery took place 6 weeks after my last consultation, particularly as an non-cancerous diagnosis had been made.
On the day of surgery I met some amazing staff at QA both in gynecology and in the day surgery unit, including nursing staff and anesthetists.
Not forgetting the consultant/surgeon.
Because of his expertise in keyhole surgery I am now 3 weeks past the date of the operation and am feeling so much better than I have felt for the past few months.
My life is back on track.
Thank you so much to all involved.
