"Due for an operation"

I'm disgusted, angry and hurt. I had my pre op today and up until then they were fantastic and I had no problems with the treatment I was getting. At 4pm this afternoon I got a phone call saying my operation is not going ahead due to my BMI being a little high, everything else is fine. I was also told I'm being discharged and referred back to my doctor, after almost a year of coming to see the doctor there. I still have my problem, it's not going away, it's getting worse and now I've got to suffer more time off work and pain and discomfort with my problem. The person on the phone did not give me chance to say anything at all. I felt like I was being dumped by my partner over the phone, thrown away like a piece of trash. I'm deeply upset, my confidence is shattered, I even lost 8.5 kg which feels great but it doesn't now. I'm sorry to be like this but it's how I feel.
