I was diagnosed in 2000 with Fibromyalgia.
From 2000 to 2006 I attended many doctors, hospitals, clinics as well as spending many, many, many £1000’s on trying to find some relief from this very painful and debilitating condition. Many of the clinics and doctors had little or no understanding of this condition and would tell you what Fibromyalgia meant as a word, as they knew very little of the condition, and out of frustration I actually bought my GP a book on the condition. During this time I was made to feel that it was all in my head and I should not bother them as I was using up time and resources for someone who is really ill that feeling is so soul destroying you cannot imagine.
From other persons who suffer from my condition I heard about the Homeopathic Hospital and spoke to my GP who referred me, most probably because they did not know what else to do for me, that’s how I felt at the time! ! ! !
The Homeopathic Hospital was the first place that actually knew and understood about my condition and understood what I was experiencing, this was a huge relief to me as I was so frustrated by my experiences in mainstream care.
I attended as an outpatient from 2006-2008 and from 2008 to 2013 I was lucky enough to attend as an inpatient I still attend as an outpatient.
I found the Homeopathic Hospital extremely beneficial and from the many techniques they taught me and experiences I had and the encouragement to participate in classes I would not have otherwise experienced I found that sometimes I could’ lose myself’ in these and I was astounded how these could help.
They taught me tools that I use every single day in life and without which I do not know how I could cope.
Also by their monitoring of me of me they picked up health problems that were developing within me due to the medications I was taking and being prescribed, things that were potentially life threatening and were it not for their intervention and care it is very probable I would not be here to write my story, actually I am not writing it as it hurts too much, physically so my husband is typing it on my behalf.
I cannot emphasise enough the positive effect the Homeopathic Hospital has had on my life and I know from other people with this condition they feel very much the same as I do. My immediate family also share this view.
I cannot express my gratitude and respect for ALL the staff both medical and non-medical at the homeopathic who have helped me and I wish there were lots more of these hospitals as there is a definite place for them, everyone should have easy access to these facilities as I firmly believe it would ease the pressure on mainstream care.
Kindest regards and best wishes from an eternally grateful patient, I so hope you survive.
