I attended Yorkhill for a bone density (DEXA) scan. I was very impressed by the pleasantness and helpfulness of staff and the whole atmosphere of the department. In particular I was impressed by Nurse Margaret who saw me after my scan. She explained everything very clearly and went through details of the scan with me afterwards including showing me the actual scans. It is rare to actually see scans for oneself and this was very helpful. I wish it could always happen. She also discussed medication with me, and when I told her that I was vegan she showed me a list of all the different calcium medications with details of ethical criteria. I have never come across this before in the NHS, or indeed anywhere, and it was extremely useful. I came away feeling well informed and that I had been very well cared for.
"Great staff for my DEXA scan"
