"Hospital car parking"

About: University Hospital Ayr / Cardiology

(as a relative),

Took my wife for an out-patient appointment at Ayr Hospital last week. Appointment time was 2. 30 pm. The car park was busier than I've ever seen it.

After driving around for 10 minutes, I was on the point of dropping my wife off and going away somewhere else when someone pulled out of a space just in front of us.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Ayrhead,

I am so sorry it was so difficult to get a space at Ayr Hospital, it is very frustrating. Unfortunately, while the building work is still underway, at certain times of the day, it can be difficult to park, (visiting times particularly). It has been a well-recorded issue and I know a lot of effort has been on-going to try to alleviate the issues of car parking. In the meantime I will pass this on to the management team for review, just in case we have left any stones unturned (so-to speak).

While this does not help you or the Ayr hospital visitors, it seems the car parking situation at Crosshouse is much improved, this has, in part due to the building work completion.

I hope your wife got on well at her visit, despite the stressful start.

Kind regards,

Eunice
