My 89 year old mother was referred to The CDU department by her GP because of a nasty chest infection and I accompanied her as I am her son/carer. Naturally we were both apprehensive about the kind of service we would receive in the department. We need not have worried. I can say with hand on heart that from the second we arrived until the time we left, my mother was treated with superior care, kindness and professionalism from every single person we came into contact with. Blood tests, x-rays results were back within half an hour and the diagnosis and treatment were delivered in less than 2 hrs. We were able to have a consultation with 2 doctors before we left detailing the problem and the treatment required. I have no association with the hospital or anyone working there and this is a true review. As a point of interest, I have worked as a language tutor all over the world, most recently in Turkey for 19 months and I have estimated that the cost of the treatment there would be approximately 655 Euros (£560). Just a thought !
Thank you. (The department is not listed in the drop down ' which Department did you visit' hence the 'Don't know' choice )
"A faultless visit to CDU"
