I had my 12 month follow-up appointment after my hip replacement surgery. Although it was 6 months late, this was not a problem. After registering at self-check-in, I attended Outpatients and took a seat in the waiting area. Almost immediately, I was asked to go to X-ray at the lower ground floor X-ray department. 10 minutes later, I was back in Outpatients. After no more than 5 minutes, I was taken to see Mr Jamil and after a thorough examination, I was on my way home, very happy, 20 minutes after my appointment time.
Can't see any other hospital bettering this service for scheduled appointments. Keep it up Tameside Hospital and thanks to all the staff there.
