"Colonoscopy pre-assessment"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

I went in for a colonoscopy at eight in the morning, I was taken right away by a nurse who checked me in, then the Doctor came and told me what she was going to do, after that I got threw to the recovery ward and nurses looked after me, then doctor came and told what she thought, I have never been treated so good and all staff were absolutely brilliant, so I would just like to thank all the staff there, I have been going threw test for two years and not one department has treated me so kindly, just wish other departments could be like there's, so thanks again. xxx

Dear Bunny face,

Thanks for taking the time to share your story. I am really sorry that it has taken us so long to reply to you - your story was shared at a time when we were changing the way we replied to our Care Opinion posts and yours was missed.

It is lovely to hear that your were treated so kindly, with compassion and understanding - it's these little things that can make a big difference to how we feel about the care we receive and how well we recover.

I hope you are still keeping well and haven't had any more hospital visits.

Take care,

Kirsten
