"lack of Public Notices"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres

(as the patient),

At an out patients clinic I noticed, yet again, a blank poster which did not include any information about the DNAs for the week. This information is vital for the public to see the consequences of such failings by some patients.

Dear Basil,

I'm sorry this poster was still on display and incomplete. We had previously decided to remove the poster as the information collation was becoming increasingly difficult for staff due to the volume of our Out Patient Clinics.

It is of course important for patients to understand the consequences of non attendance however staff do emphasize this information when they meet with patients face to face and give contact information should a change of appointment be necessary.

We are removing the poster today and thank you for your vigilance.

Kind Regards

Gwen
