"Endoscopy Department - Fantastic Staff"

About: Dorset County Hospital

I had a colonoscopy on 28/9/16 from arriving at the reception desk to departure after the procedure I was looked after so well. I arrived a very nervous and a little frightened person and can honestly say that without the care, consideration and help afforded to me by all the staff I came into contact with on the day I do not think I would have managed to get through the procedure. The team in the operating theatre were wonderful. I had elected to have the procedure using entonox as opposed to being sedated as I have a fear of being put to sleep or being sedated, they were brilliant at helping me to get through it, stopping when it became a bit to much for me and guiding me patiently in using the entonox, helping me all the way. I know that without their help and care I would have definitely not managed to get through it They were fantastic. I am currently undergoing treatment at the Winterborne Hospital for back problems and can say that the service I received at the DCH was every bit as good. From the person at reception to the team in the recovery room after the procedure. I was so well looked after. They are all a credit to the hospital and deserve the highest praise for what the do

Thank you to each and every one of them.
