Overall care during the day was inconsistent but night time was appalling. In the first instance to have to turn your own machine off after a blood transfusion despite ringing for a nurse several times is unacceptable and on another occasion to be transferred in the middle of the night to another ward to find your bed is a mess and there is no one to accept you onto the ward is worrying, add onto this the fact that another patient saw night staff deliberately mess up the readymade bed on purpose is disgusting and goes against any sort of care or respect that patients deserve. To say care here has been worrying is an understatement! After various experiences over the last year and a half I have found the care in SAU and AMU great and I have no complaints however moving to B5 is a different matter and you are totally at risk during the night.
